It is one of my favorite holiday events in town and will blow your Christmas socks right off. Holiday "A Cappella Jam" Toy Drive with performances by Princeton University's Tigressions, Roaring 20, Tigerlillies, Nassoons, Shere Khan, Wildcats, Koleinu, Kindred Spirit, Katzenjammers... and more. To be held on Princeton's Palmer Square Green, Friday, December 11th, 6:30 p.m. Free and open to the public. Attendees are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy that will be donated to the YWCA Princeton St. Nicholas Project. Beginning November 27th, toys purchased at JaZams for the A Cappella Jam Toy Drive will receive a 20% discount. Toys will be collected at JaZams in Palmer Square through December 11.

Back in the 90s I was part of the full time year long creative staff at the Macy's Parade Studio in Hoboken New Jersey. It was a privelege to help create many of the floats and work with many talented artisans(under the direction of famed parade designer Manfred Bass)getting ready for the big show on Thanksgiving morning for all to delight in. As usual I will be at the parade but as a veiwer enjoyng all the new floats, balloons and and entertainment. If you have never seen it in person I would recomment it! Here is a photo from long ago on parade day. My first parade was the year that it snowed for the first time on Thanksgiving morning in over 50 years. We worked all through the snowy night to assemble the floats getting done just in the nick of time at 9AM as the parade was about to kick off at 77th street. This will become a collectors item and increase in value over the years as the only image illustrated depicting the 1938 attack at Grovers Mill directly created after listening to a recorded broadcast of that frightening radio event by Orson Welles.

This will be printed on canvas by a reputable photo studio in Princeton and mounted on rigid gator board ready to frame by the purchaser. It will appear as if it is the actual painting. Each will be signed and numbered by me. A few inches short of 4 by 6 1/2 feet due to canvas size available by printer. See the original at the Grovers Mill Coffee Company in Plainsboro at the McCafrees shopping center.

A 10.00 sample fee is required if you would like to see a section of the printed image on canvas and a deposit will be required to cover the cost of this custom printing by the lab. It can be made out to me or the lab directly. The full size print is $3,500.00 Perfect for a recreation room, home theater, corporate office, or for that science fiction collector. Once the original full size sells out they will no longer be printed and available.

Not far from Princeton NJ is a lovely little town called Cranbury. If you love old homes, history and picture perfect towns to take a leisurely stroll through, then stop by Cranbury and see for yourself.

They have a wonderful museum filled with many items from the areas prolific agricultural history worth seeing. Many restaurants to have a delicious lunch or dinner after your tour are on Main Street. The historic Cranbury Inn is one place worth a visit. My favorite past-time in town is to sit by the (Brainerd Lake) that looks out onto a spectacular home sitting on its banks. All year is nice time to visit but I find the town comes alive when many homes on Maine street decorate in the fall for Halloween, The Fourth of July and Christmas.

Not far from Princeton Nj is the town Hightstown where I also have studio space at the Art Station Studios http://www.artstationstudios.com/

This photo has been tranformed into a magical night scene for the owners of a Hightstown NJ home. In this painting, day turns to night with a sky full of stars and a full moon to light up this beautiful property which adds a warm and cozy feeling. Although the flowering trees, pink Cherry Blossom and the spectacularly flowering Franklinia tree, were not in bloom at the time of the photo, by request of my client I added the blossoms to add color and interest. This painting will hang at their second home on the West coast to help them reflect back on their memories in Hightstown.

Moon Over McCarter Theater

This painting has been sold to a couple who has a subscription to McCarter. They are placing it in thier second home in Maine.

If you have not attended a performance at McCarter, what are you waiting for. Some of the greats who have graced the stage there were Lucile Ball and Christopher Reeves to just name a few. Princeton Sacred Heart Academy

This was the third year that I attended the "en plein air painting" event hosted by this private boys school and organized by Sandra Tasca. Artists that enjoy painting outdoors and on location showed up early that October morning to paint scenes from this school.

I chose to paint the school building while others focused on a Gothic Manor House.

This painting was sold that day to the parents of a child who attended the academy. They told me it would be one of his Christmas gifts. A painting of his school in my colorful style of painting seems as if it was just taken from the pages of a story book, I hope he enjoyed it.

Notice the reflection I added in the moon at the last moment. I'll See you there next October.
